Harry Potter star Devon Murray will soon be welcoming a new member to the Wizarding World.
In a rare bit of good news coming out of Pottermore these days, Murray – who played Harry’s Hogwarts classmate Seamus Finnigan in the film franchise – has revealed that he is going to be a dad.
The Irish actor made the announcement on Instagram on Wednesday (July 8) that he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Shannon McCaffrey Quinn.
Alongside an adorable photo of a mini-onesie and the couple’s baby scan, he shared their child’s arrival date: “Baby Murray – 14th of January 2021.”
The couple were congratulated by some of Finnigan’s Harry Potter co-stars, including Luna Lovegood actress Evanna Lynch and Pansy actress Scarlett Hefner.
“Awwww congratulations Dev!! So happy for you! ❤️ you’re going to be such a fun dad,” Evanna wrote, with Scarlett adding: “Congratulations Dev!! So exciting!”
Scarlett Hefner recently shared her own exciting news that she is expecting her first child with Playboy heir Cooper Hefner.
“Cooper and I are delighted to share that we have a little one on the way,” she announced on social media. “Our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy, and the two of us can’t wait to meet the newest little Hefner.”
Her happy news came just a few months after Scarlett and Cooper officially tied the knot, with the actress announcing: “I love you Cooper. I am proud to stand by your side, as your partner, your friend, and your wife.
“I cannot wait to continue building a life together. My heart is so full and I am so grateful for our love.”
